Ulu Kasok is not Raja Ampat, but this tourist destination offers beauty like that popular tourist site with a cluster of islands surrounded by water. From a distance, Ulu Kasok is very similar to Raja Ampat which is full of coral islands wrapped in blue ocean.
Ulu Kasok is also an artificial lake, Ulu Kasok used to be just a village, the PLTA relocated the residents there with the aim of creating the Koto Panjang Hydroelectric Power Plant project.
Ulu Kasok is taken from the name of the river around the area. The local community named it the Kasok River. The tourist location is upstream or ulu Kasok. That's why it's called 'Ulu Kasok'.
